Yes, True, India is getting resistant to antibiotics.I was watching the debate aired on Indiatimes. Everybody in the panel are very much qualified, educated, and even doctors. But there are no person representing pharma.Pharma in the sense is not only the Pharmacist who dispenses medicine or the person from manufacturing industry.
www.gmail.comIt includes, clinical pharmacist, who assist doctor, a pharmacologist, and the of course a dispenser a hospital pharmacist.
Everything in this health care segment has been done against the benefit of the consumer/patient.
There is no exception for any doctor, every doctor want to make money and any person from the pharma manufacturing want to make money. There are no guidelines for prescription or no prescription audits, no surveillance and No license cancellations for pharmacists or doctors.
No patient medical records are maintained, no past history, no profile for allergic drugs, no profile of drug food interactions or dosage regimen...............there are thousand things to look in to and should be stringent laws for maintaing all these things.
But Unfortunately Our health care system is under the footholds of Bloody, Greedy , FILTHY, Even not worthy Doctors who become doctors by spending money.
A doctor in front of my house, doesnt know the spelling of some of the drugs, the molecules in it, the drug profile, doent know the pharmacokinetics of the drug, pharmacodynamics of the drug, the dosage regimen of the drug, the drug drug interactions, drug tolerance, drug food interactions, duration of the course.....Prescribes 10 different kinds of drug, even if u get fever, which actually he doesn't know the reason behind that.
So is the antibiotics, there is no surveillance and proper functioning of regulatory bodies and Greed for money of doctors and Pharma companies and lack of interest to educate and bring awareness on non-OTC drugs, banned drugs.
Preventing the economic burden and Burden of taking excessive and unnecessary medicines and drugs leading to drug tolerance and resistance and Toxicity.
There is a need for re-organizing the whole system and Increasing the Importance other Pharma people involving them and Providing transparent systems under strict compliance systems.
